U.S. Army, Maurer School of Law launch historic new scholarship program
Maurer School of LawIn a world filled with acronyms, soldiers from the United States Army will have the opportunity to add another to their resume under an historic agreement between the Army and the Indiana University Maurer School of Law – a JD. The two organizations have signed an agreement creating the U.S. Army Law Scholars Program – believed to be the first cuh partnership between the Army and a major law school.
IU to offer free will preparation services to employees, students and parents
Maurer School of LawThe Indiana University Office of the Vice President and General Counsel and the Maurer School of Law have announced a program offering will preparation services at no charge to university employees, students and parents. The program addresses the fact that more than 50 percent of American adults do not have a will, and that as many as 70 percent have not designated a healthcare power of attorney.
Young African civic leaders visiting Indianapolis as Mandela Fellows
Maurer School of LawTwenty-five of Sub-Saharan Africa's brightest young civic leaders will be in Indianapolis today, participating in Nelson Mandela International Day service activities at four nonprofit organizations. They will help people here while exchanging ideas and offering insights into how communities in the U.S. and Africa might improve lives of youth and women and advance global health and environmental sustainability.
